Deciding what to eat can be scary these days, if you believe everything you read. High-fructose corn syrup, gluten, e. coli, BPA, crazy hormones in meat and milk have made eating seem like trip to one of Survivor’s crazy island adventures, not sustenance or pleasure. Fat and sugar are now four letter words. Here’s the news flash: food is not the enemy. Overprocessed, fake food is what makes us overweight and unhealthy. Real food, eaten responsibly, will not kill you. So enjoy what you eat and indulge in something really delicious. Our mission at LEKR is to bring you the best of the food world. For us, that means fresh, handmade food that is the best of its kind. We’re not food snobs. Yes, we like five course meals that last three hours, but we can be just as happy chowing on fried clams at a seafood shack or noshing on a pastrami on rye at a deli, if the food stands apart.
